Antique 1793 verge fuse pocket watch, crafted by Peter Woods, London. Features an inscription and chain on the barrel. Includes the original wood case.
The watch is being sold in *untested* condition due to the absence of a key; functionality is unknown.
The outer case shows a later repair on the latch but still closes securely. Hallmarks on the case indicate it was made in London (.925 silver) in 1796 (letter A).
The internal watch mechanism was made by Peter Woods in 1793.
