1888-O VAM12A Gem Brilliant Uncirculated/MS65 Morgan US Silver Dollar. VAM12A = Doubled Ear Bottom & Doubled Legend, Slanted Date, O/O {Right}, Die Break.
Die Break nearly through Mintmark, to the right, straight down into the O in dollar, causing 2 die chips in the “O” in dollar to go along with the die break through the lettering. Die crack through wreath above “LA” in “Dollar”. Die Break/Die Chip upper tip eagles right wing. Rim Cuds Upper Obverse / Lower Obverse (Under 88).
Note that Rim Cuds aren’t identifiable under VAM assignments but are used to help identify specific VAM Varieties, including this one in this case. Beautiful Near Spotless Cheek. As-is.
