Gorgeous piece of shipwreck treasure from the cargo of the 'Tek Sing' - sometimes referred to as the 'Titanic of the East'. The cargo was recovered in 1999 and sold at Nagel auctions (whose sticker is on base) in 2000.
This piece was purchased from a single owner Pennsylvania collection of Nagel-auctioned 'Tek Sing' ceramics. Overall, good condition with no detectable repairs. Some barnacle / growth present.
