Antique A. Stieler’s Hand-Atlas 95 Maps Karten 7th Edition, published in German, circa 1880. Hermann Berghaus direction.
This amazing antique hand atlas features full-size color maps and diagrams. Some maps were reproduced by copper-plate printing on hand presses with hand coloring into the 1890s.
Bound by Richter Bros, 294 West Water Street, Milwaukee Wisconsin.
Complete pages are in excellent condition with bright colors and print, showing little to no distressing. The cover is disintegrating and tattered, in need of restoration. Colorant and finish are rubbing off into powder. Measures 20” x 13” x 7”. Sold AS-IS.
