Note: White spots are reflections from lighting, not flaws.
Made by Joseph Heath & Co. (1824-1841) at the Newberry Estate in Staffordshire, England, using earthen ware ironstone and the transfer method.
Round plate with scalloped edge and detailed Italian Villa scene. Approximately 9" wide. Good antique condition, no chips or cracks observed, manufacturers pot blisters on the underside. Edges display light surface wear, and hairline fracture backside - see photos.
Potters Wheel mark impressed on reverse, with pattern name “Italian Villas” in an architectural cartouche with initials J.H.& Co.
