RARE Antique Zell Majolica Cake Platter and Lid.
Brand/Pattern: Zell - Majolica LDBC Basketweave Floral Hand Painted. Made in Germany, Circa 1930s.
2-piece set: Platter/Plate & accompanying Cover Lid. Plate has circular LDB Co stamp with "Hand Painted Germany" and impressed Zell pattern # "2830". Lid is impressed with pattern # "2831".
Features bright flowers around the perimeter and a recessed lid handle. The underplate has a full basketweave design and two reticulated handles.
Colors: Vibrant yellow, blue, and red flowers, green leaves, and brown stems.
Condition: EUC - No noted crazing, chips, or cracks. A couple of minor small rough to the touch surface spots.
Dimensions: Lid approx 9" wide x 4" high - Underplate: 12 1/2" wide x 14" wide across to handles.
