Don McLean: The Voice-The Music-The Concert (VHS, 1994) NEW OOP rare<br><br>Don McLean returned to the UK charts in 1991 with his classic song American Pie. At the same time he embarked on a major concert tour of the UK; featured in this video is an abridged version of the performance given in Manchester, England. The performance is a 50:50 split of McLean's new and old material including several songs from his most recent album 'Headroom'. For the first half he is supported by John Platania on electric guitar; in the second half he is joined by the heavy rock Jamie Marshall BAnd. Some people will consider his rambling chit-chat between songs an irritant; this is a feature of all McLean concerts often serving to enhance and intensify his performance. It doesn't transfer quite as well to video. All the old McLean hits are included: Castles in the Air, And I Love You So, Crying, Vincent and of course American Pie.
