Fairy Tale Windows Jewelry Chest Handmade One of a Kind Trinket Keepsake Box

This immaculately detailed, vintage-style wooden jewelry chest was created by upcycling an old trinket box from a thrift store. It measures about 9” wide, 6.75” high. and 5.25” deep.<br><br>After stripping it, cleaning it, and doing some repairs, I decoupaged prints of my own artwork onto the top, sides, and front panels, inspired by the stained glass storytelling within Beauty and the Beast.<br><br>The process permanently adheres the prints to the wooden surfaces, which gets sealed by the decoupage medium. Any wood left exposed gets hand painted. From there I added antique detailing and furniture wax over everything by hand; this ages it and shows off the detailed sealant brush strokes, giving it a vintage, rustic feel in contrast with the shiny polish.<br><br>The chest retains the original closing clasp and hinges, but has been given new drawer handles. The insides are lined with luxurious, hand-cut red velvet. <br><br>This is fit for even a Disney princess, so don’t miss out on this one of a kind piece!
