Hand-decorated glass ornament in the Fenton painted style, featuring a dual-sided cardinal and pine tree motif. The interior is partially filled with hand-pulled, thin strands of white and green glass (stringers) for added texture and depth.
Ornament is flat and round and was purchased for decorating purposes (not made by Fenton/in USA). The cap is base metal and removable, allowing you to discard or refill contents. Please exercise caution when removing the cap due to potentially sharp glass strands.
The enamel paint is durable and fused to the glass surface via heating to almost 1100° F, creating a design that will not fade. Decorated in the USA prior to the closure of Fenton Glass Jewelry's Philadelphia manufacturing location. Fenton Glass Jewelry was an offshoot of Fenton glass, originally located in West Virginia.
