Gem silica and chrysocolla are typically found in copper ore deposit veins, where they can take on massive, crusted, or botryoidal forms. Gem silica (also known as chrysocolla chalcedony) is the druzy or gemmy form of chrysocolla with quartz, and it is exceptionally rarer than its constituent components.
