McGill pipe vise designed to prevent pipe slippage in well applications. Works with 1 to 2 inch diameter pipes, suitable for wells up to 8 inches in diameter. Features automatic braking when pipe moves down and releases when lifted. Removable hinge pin for clamping around the pipe.
Used once to extract 90 feet of galvanized pipe from an abandoned well and performed perfectly. Lifting was done with a mini excavator (not included), but a winch or t-post puller could also be used. Shows some scratches from prior use.
