Herbert Hoover, head of the US Food Administration during World War I, declared, “Food will win the war.” Americans were encouraged to decrease food consumption and increase production for soldiers abroad.
This is an original vintage poster, not a reproduction. Designed by J.E. Sheridan in 1917 for the World War I U.S. Food Administration. Features a basket of fresh produce against a silhouette of cavalry carrying the U.S. flag.
