Pair of Japanese Champieve vases from the 1930s. Weight: 4-lbs 14.3-ozs. Dimensions: 8 x 5.25 inches. Not Cloisonne; these Champieve vases were cast in brass with geometric lines and raised areas where colored enamels are used.
Made around 1930. Purchased at the Worlds Exposition Century of Progress in 1933 or 1934. Stamped 'Made in Japan' on the bottom. Some enamel is missing or slightly chipped, as shown. Used as an open shelf display.
