Incredible and rare 1960s papier mâché owl sculpture by Jeanne Valentine. A true mid-century modern Halloween folk art piece—massive and eye-catching at 29” tall, 21” wide from wing to wing, and approx. 7” deep.
This owl features vibrant deep orange, honey, dark brown, and reddish tones with bold styling that pops in any setting. The original artist label on the back reads: “Jeanne Valentine S.A. / Made in Mexico.”
These pieces are extremely hard to find, especially in this large size. Smaller versions sell for $225+.
Condition: Overall in good vintage condition with expected wear from age. Original label intact and displays beautifully.
Price is firm due to rarity and collectible value. Perfect centerpiece for Halloween decorating, collectors of MCM or folk art, or anyone looking for a unique conversation piece. Two toe broke off and have been repaired.
