Rare vintage Murano Millefiori "Thousand Flowers" hand-blown miniature glass punch bowl set with 6 small cups. Made in Italy with a satin acid wash finish. Dating back to the 1950s, this set is in excellent condition. Each piece is handmade with applied satin glass handles on the cups. The bowl is joined by a clear satin ring and millefiori base. The pedestal bowl measures 4.5" tall and has a 4.75" diameter. Each small cup measures approximately 2" wide x 1.5" height. Millefiori glass features a distinctive flower-like pattern created by fusing bundles of colored glass rods into a thick rod, then slicing them into small disks called "murrine". These disks are applied to hot glass, reheated, and blown to create the finished piece.
