First edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Long White Month by Dean Marshall (E. P. Dutton & Co., 1942). Incredibly rare vintage children’s book with scarce original jacket. With illustrations by Theresa Kalah. Heavily worn jacket now protected in new archival sleeve.
Condition: Residue from tape around edges of jacket, with tears and chipping. Boards faintly soiled with bumped corners. Slight liquid damage to bottom edge, causing waviness and discoloration. Previous owner’s inscription on front endpaper. Mildly split binding, spine is straight, all pages are attached and binding remains strong. Tanning pages. See photos for condition. **AS-IS**.
