Genuine US Military Surplus Helmet Bag.
Originally issued to pilots for protecting and carrying helmets. Nylon shell with quilted lining. Features two large outer pockets and inner pockets on both sides. 4th model with a center spring hook. 1984 contract. SCOVILL brass zipper, slightly tarnished but fully functional with all teeth intact. Some soiling consistent with age, a name written on the front, and a small hole on the lower left front. Hole is stopped by the quilted lining and does not go through. In relatively good condition for a vintage brass zipper item.
Outer dimensions: approximately 50x47cm. A great piece of military history!
