Large handmade retro modern art glass cigar ashtray in Persimmon by Viking. Scarce.
Viking Art Glass part no. 104, introduced in 1962 and discontinued in 1970. Only example found was in a museum.
The persimmon color is a beautiful liquid-like orange. Measures 6″ x 6″, 1.5″ tall, weighs 3 lbs. Thick, quality vintage glass. Cigar-sized level cradle rests. Classic design works well for cigarettes and smaller smokes.
One small chip, one small bubble (see photos). Surface scratches on bottom from use (see photos). Light haze (see second photo).
Overall, an excellent collectible piece. The Viking Glass Company closed in 1984. AS-IS.
