Pair of Vilas Asian statuettes, each approximately 9" tall. Repaired using Kintsugi, highlighting breaks, hairline cracks, and crazing lines with gold.
The art of Japanese Kintsugi serves as a metaphor for healing oneself. Broken pottery is not discarded, but mended with the cracks highlighted in gold or silver.
