Rare Bandai Douglas X-3 USAF tin friction jet. Friction mechanism works. The “stiletto moves in and out of the nose of the jet. Approx. 11” long (not including the 3” stiletto). Approx. 5” wing span. Pretty good condition for age. See pictures for detail. As-is.
History: Only one of these experimental jets was built and designed for the USAF to test sustained flight at twice the speed of sound.
