Mary Gage (born 1898) opened her silversmith shop in New York in the 1920s.
Her silver work earned her a prominent place among artists of the Arts & Crafts movement.
Mary was self-taught and learned her craft by working with other artists in Greenwich Village.
Her work is very identifiable, using complex wire frames, lily pad & leaf motifs, silver balls, turquoise, and other precious stones.
Each piece was handcrafted and one-of-a-kind, adding to its value.
Sterling silver. Stamped Sterling with makers mark.
Chalcedony cabochon.
Pre-owned in great condition.
Can easily be made into a necklace pendant by slipping a chain through the clasp or with a converter.
Chains and converters are not included.
