This incredible WWII U.S. Navy Destroyer Plankowner trophy was made from salvaged wood from the USS Charles F. Hughes (DD 428), a Benson-class destroyer. The USS Charles F. Hughes (DD-428) saw service in North Africa, Anzio Landings, southern France, Okinawa, and was present in Tokyo Bay for the Japanese V-J Day surrender.
